Description
This qualification is aimed at those working with swimmers in a learn to swim environment wishing to work with babies and children from age 0-5 years utilising the Swim England Pre-School Framework (or equivalent). It is recognised as a Level 2 vocational qualification. It is endorsed by CIMPSA against the professional standards for individuals working with 0-5 year olds (preschool).
The SEQ Level 2 Teaching Swimming to Babies and Toddlers qualification is designed to be a practical qualification which develops the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to be a baby and toddler swimming teacher. It is designed to build on the knowledge, skills and abilities achieved through the SEQ Level 1 Swimming Assistant (Teaching) qualification. Once achieved it will ensure that swimming teachers can effectively and independently plan, prepare, deliver, monitor and evaluate a series of teaching sessions for 0-5 year olds.
The Qualification Objectives
The objectives of the SEQ Level 2 Teaching Swimming to Babies and Toddlers qualification are to:

The Qualifications Cover
The qualification enables individuals to effectively plan, prepare, deliver and evaluate Baby and Toddler swimming lessons independently. It also gives individuals the skills and confidence to provide quality, inclusive and fun swimming lessons
Entry Requirements

All certificates must be presented at the point of booking to confirm that learners have the correct entry requirements for this course.
Other SEQ equivalent swimming teacher qualifications maybe accepted subject to application and assessment via RPL of existing qualifications against the learning outcomes and assessment requirements of this qualification and course requirements. This may incur an additional fee.
Assessment
This qualification is made up of 11 learning outcomes and 34 assessment criteria. To achieve the qualification, individuals need to:

• | be assessed against all assessment requirements by the course tutor/assessor |

RPL may be applied to some of the learning outcomes and assessment criteria in part or full depending on qualification already held by the learner, reducing the amount of training time and assessment requirements.

Certification
Once the learner has completed the course and all the learning outcomes, assessment criteria and assessment requirements have been achieved Survive and Save Training can forward your results to Swim England Qualifications for certification. Certificates can usually be expected around 4 weeks following the end of the course.
It should be noted that attendance at this course alone does not guarantee that you will pass this qualification. All assessment requirements must meet the required standard to be awarded this qualification
What next?
Following successful completion of the SEQ Level 2 Teaching Swimming to Babies and Toddlers you will be eligible to work as a swimming teacher in either paid employment or volunteer role.
